Rating and certification
CCR Gestion and CCR Actions were among the first asset management companies to have asked for a rating by Fitch Ratings. CCR Actions obtained GIPS certification in 2004 and has been the first asset manager to obtain a rating for its European equities investment process (june 2006).
Compliance with the most stringent professional standards
CCR Gestion and CCR Actions were among the first asset managers to commit to Fitch Ratings asset management company rating process and to the GIPS (Global Investment Performance Standards) certification process. This commitment is part of the policy of transparency adhered to by the CCR Group since the beginning. It aims at meeting the expectations of institutional investors and distributors who are seeking condensed, global, objective and high-value-added information in order to analyze asset management companies' skills:
- Fitch Rating Asset Manager rating : CCR Gestion and CCR Actions are rated "M3 - Good/Adequate"
. This rating is given to asset management companies that "meet or exceed adequate standards of investment management competency in all scored categories". These ratings are issued on a five-tier scale of "M1" to "M5", with "M1" being the highest rating, while "M5" indicates that the asset management company fails to meet the minimum levels of acceptability required by institutional investors in one or more of teh rating categories.
- Fitch Rating Investment Process rating : CCR Actions is rated "IP2" for its European equities investment process.
The rating reflects an experienced investment team and a robust and continuous investment process.
Investment process ratings ("IP") serve as a complement to Fitch's suite of asset manager ratings that provide assessments at the entity level. This new methodology is designed to assess the quality of an investment process in terms of resources, decision-making process, investment risk management and portfolio management and monitoring tools. The ratings are on a scale of "IP1" to "IP5", with "IP1" being the highest rating. The suffixes "+" or "-" may be appended to a rating to denote relative status within the major rating categories, but are not added to the "IP1" and "IP5" rating categories. Ratings within the IP2 category correspond to "strong" investment processes.
- GIPS certification: On March 15, 2004, Ernst & Young bestowed a certificate on CCR Actions attesting to the alignment with GIPS standards of its presentation of investment performance . The firm has been compliant since July 1st, 1997.
Rating and certification are objective hallmarks of security and maturity.
